Blueberry Harvesting Made Easy

When harvesting blueberries, it can be difficult to reach between the rows, because blueberry bushes tend to grow in close proximity to one another. The Littau Harvester Over-Row Harvester contains a 13×13 foot platform that is designed to lift workers above the crops as the machine straddles the rows, allowing them easy access to the tight spaces between bushes.
Securing blueberries into storage quickly is crucial, as the coolness of the fruit determines its shelflife. The platform on the Over-Row Harvester accelerates the transportation process because it descends to the appropriate loading level for loading the fruit into specific trucks.
The 2007 model, which was released into production in July 2007, contains a new catcher system. The dual pattern system has both over-length and under-length catchers that prevent the creation of a void into which berries can fall. The new system catches roughly 30% to 50% of the fruit lost while using the older mechanism.
A new pump included as part of the 2007 Over-Row Harvester provides workers with more control when moving at a slow pace than was formerly possible. The pump moves a high volume of oil through the pump system to maintain a high torque at low oil pressures, which fosters longevity.
The food grade oil that is run through the system ensures that any spill that occurs is harmless to the environment. The oil will not contaminate the crop or the conveyer systems in processing plants. The 2007 Over-Row Harvester also carries less than 30 gallons of oil on board as opposed to the typical 100 gallons, which makes the machine lighter.
