New Fungicide Provides Almond, Pome Fruit Growers Resistance Management

UPL NA Inc. launched Axios 20 SC, a newly registered fungicide for use in almonds and pome. The product is now available at participating retailers.

Powered by Kinoprol active, Axios 20 SC fungicide helps protect yield potential from a broad spectrum of diseases, such as shot hole, brown rot blossom blight, scab, leaf spot, powdery mildew, and anthracnose.

Axios 20 SC fungicide is a unique, preventive fungicide that works to reduce disease development while also providing systemic control with lasting residual against tough early-season diseases. Kinoprol active is the only active ingredient in FRAC Group 52 and has no known cross resistance to any other fungicide groups, providing growers with an effective rotational solution for commonly used fungicides in FRAC Groups 3, 7, and 11.

“Growers and PCAs are looking for new solutions to better manage resistance and help protect yield potential from a growing list of costly diseases,” Christy Hetfeld, UPL Insecticide and Fungicide Portfolio Manager, says. “The novel active ingredient Kinoprol will help growers easily incorporate Axios 20 SC into any IPM program for disease protection and a boost in resistance management.”
