New Web Resource To Provide Updates On FSMA

A new section designed to keep industry informed on Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) updates can be found on the California Leafy Greens Marketing Agreement (LGMA)  website.

According to a recent blog post on the group’s website from April Ward, LGMA communications director, “We know the Food Safety Modernization Act and the Produce Rule, specifically, are of special interest to LGMA members and the leafy greens industry, in general. So, we wanted to develop a resource where people can get information about the pending rules and how they will impact leafy greens farmers — or anyone in the produce industry.”

The blog post highlights what is included in the new section:

Information on any LGMA activity involving FSMA;
Important dates regarding the implementation of the new law;
Documents from the FDA;
Pertinent news stories on FSMA;
LGMA blog posts pertaining to FSMA;
and an FAQ section that addresses common industry questions about FSMA.
