Grants Available For Farmworker Education

Grants are available for farmworkers and their families interested in attending adult educational programs through the Washington Apple Educational Foundation (WAEF). Access the Farmworker Education Grant Application at the Foundation’s website.

Organizations, including community groups, religious institutions, and public and private schools assisting agriculture workers and their families attain scholastic success through access to adult education programs are eligible to apply. Completed applications must be returned to WAEF no later than June 1.

Applicants should provide programs for adult learners in English as a second language, adult basic education, life skill development, parent empowerment, and citizenship preparation. Details are available on the Grant Guidelines document located on the WAEF website.

WAEF partners with corporate donors such as Costco Wholesale, Chelan Fresh, Jim Matson Memorial Fund, Oneonta Trading Corporation, U.S. Bancorp Foundation, and Wells Fargo to help make these grants possible.
