Beleaf Registered For Pecans

FMC Corp. logoBeleaf Insecticide from FMC has received registration for use on pecans to control aphids.

Featuring an IRAC group 9C mode of action, Beleaf stops yellow, black and blackmargined aphid feeding within 30 minutes and provides up to 21 days of residual control, while preserving beneficial insect species, according to FMC.

“Physical damage and disease exposure are the immediate threats of aphid pressure, but repeat exposure to just one or two classes of actives raises the risk of resistance with every application,” says Cory Bromley, FMC Agricultural Solutions North America segment manager. “Beleaf offers a unique mode of action to quickly stop feeding and protect yields, because a diversified management strategy is what keeps growers in control season after season.”
