California Table Grape Growers Offer Agricultural Scholarships
Agricultural scholarships are being offered to students who reside in the table grape growing regions of California and intend to study agricultural business, science, technology or a related field.
The agricultural scholarships, offered on behalf of California’s table grape growers, include up to four $20,000 scholarships to any four-year California college or university. The application deadline for the agricultural scholarships is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13.
Three years ago, these scholarships were added to the California Table Grape Commission’s community outreach program, which has offered table grape field worker scholarships on behalf of the industry’s growers for 30 years.
Last year’s recipients of the agricultural scholarships were graduates from high schools in Fresno, Hanford and Kingsburg. The scholarships are being used to help fund studies in agricultural business, business administration/dairy science, plant science and agricultural and environmental sciences at universities in California.
