Penn State University Extension Offers Webinar Series For Beginning Growers

 

Penn State Extension will offer three two-hour webinars held on consecutive Saturdays. The three sessions are designed for the beginning tree fruit growers. Attendees will learn how to consistently grow quality fruit and avoid many of the problems that are discouraging to new tree fruit growers.

The dates and topics include:

  • March 5: Cultivars, Rootstocks, Training and Support Systems presented by Rob Crassweller, an Extension Tree Fruit Specialist in the area of Horticulture.
  • March 12: Insect Pest Management presented by Greg Krawczyk, an Extension Entomologist specializing in tree fruit pests
  • March 19: Disease Prevention and Management presented by Kari Peter, a Plant Pathology Specialist working with tree fruit.
