Wish Farms Breaks New Ground on Future Growth
Wish Farms in Plant City, FL, has a legacy that dates back nearly 100 years. Through four generations, the family owned international berry grower and shipper has had its eyes on the future with work now fully underway on an ambitious company expansion.
An announcement about the construction project was made a little more than a year ago. The plans are now in motion and ground broken on its 130,000-square-foot warehouse and cooling facility, which is scheduled for completion in January 2020 as well as a three-story, 24,000-square-foot office space that will serve as its new headquarters.
According to the company, the office is slated to be occupied by staff in September 2020. Among the modern amenities, it also will feature an indoor grove of trees, an adult-sized slide, a tree house conference room, and employee gym.
Third and fourth generation family members were all in attendance at the recent groundbreaking event. In addition to the groundbreaking, the company revealed its new tagline: “Generations of Sweetness.”
Amber Maloney, Director of Marketing for Wish Farms, says the three words sum up the company’s tradition of family and mission to provide high-quality product. “Additionally, it resonates with consumers, as parents and grandparents share the love of berries with their children and grandchildren.”
Maloney also points out the tagline’s flexibility makes it an effective marketing tool. “That last word can be swapped out for almost anything we are trying to highlight – flavor, quality, family, community, giving, etc.”
