New Digital Tech Opportunity for Greenhouse Berry Growers

Consumer demand for fresh, locally grown berries has grown to the point where many greenhouse operators in North America have been switching crops to grow fresh berries to supply local markets.

In response to these growers’ requests, and wanting to support consumer access to locally grown fresh food, ecoation is now offering its data digitization platform to strawberry and blueberry growers, with growers in Canada and Mexico already using the platform in their farms to digitize their IPM programs. The platform will also allow these growers to monitor crop work, as well as capture fruit count and store the data securely for analysis.

Ecoation is well known for its data digitization work for greenhouse crops such as tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers, with deployments of its software/hardware platform in greenhouses worldwide, so it’s a natural progression that the company begins reaching other greenhouse grown crops.

“Soft fruits and berries are a natural second target for ecoation,” says Saber Miresmailli, Founder and CEO of ecoation.
