CEAg World Conference and Expo, the premier event for the rapidly advancing sector of food grown in protected environments, is accepting presentation proposals for its inaugural event taking place Aug. 26-28 in Raleigh, NC.
CEAg World brings together the broad spectrum of industries advancing food production in any form of controlled environment agriculture (CEA), including greenhouses, hoop houses and high tunnels, outdoor operations using shading or netting, vertical farms, container farms, and more.
As fruit and vegetable growers, considerations about how best to produce and protect crops amid challenging and changing environmental pressures are becoming paramount.
Prospective speakers for the inaugural CEAg World Conference and Expo are encouraged to submit detailed proposals including:
• Session Format: single/co-presentation, panel discussion, workshop, facilitated small group discussion, or keynote.
• Session Specifics: title, description, and attendee takeaways
• Speaker Details: complete contact information and social media handles, professional biography, and headshot.
Topics will cover both business management and production, including:

2. Sustainable Practices: Innovations in sustainable agriculture practices, including water and energy conservation, and waste reduction.
3. ROI Analysis: How to evaluate the return on investment (ROI) of different technologies and practices.
4. Labor Efficiency: Strategies for optimizing labor productivity and reducing costs through automation and smart management practices.
5. Business Considerations for Growing Operations: Insights for the broader aspects of the grower’s business, including marketing strategies, build-out strategies including site selection, retail store management, and fostering relationships with customers and clients.
6. Growth Optimization: Techniques for maximizing crop yield, quality, and consistency.
7. Market Trends and Insights: Understanding current and future trends in controlled environment agriculture to inform strategic decision-making and marketing efforts
8. Optimizing Lighting Solutions: Best practices for selecting and implementing lighting systems to maximize plant growth and yield.
9. Emerging Technologies: Exploring the latest technologies shaping the future of controlled environment agriculture, such as automation, sensors, and data analytics.
10. Climate Control: Best practices for managing temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels to create ideal growing conditions.

The CEAg World content team and advisory board will give priority to submissions featuring expertise from growing operations and/or speakers with case studies and real-world examples. Sessions and panels featuring clear elements for audience engagement and participation are strongly encouraged. Please note that suppliers selected to present at CEAg World Conference and Expo will be required to support the event by exhibiting.
