Spring Crisp
This Napa-type cabbage is very early maturing (just 63 days after sowing), and is also slow to bolt so it holds well in the field. Best suited for harvesting in the spring or summer, this hybrid Chinese cabbage has intermediate resistance to clubroot. Available from American Takii.

Mustard spinach Early Mizuna is a fall to winter crop. It is has vigorous growth and high yields. It is light green with serrated leaves it has a very prolific branching habit. Komatsuna
With deep green leaves with an upright plant habit, mustard spinach Komatsuna has a high resistance to common diseases and can be grown year-round in temperate climates. Ready for harvest in approximately 35 days, 50 days under cooler temperatures. It has a mild flavor, somewhere between that of a spinach and an Asian mustard, and is commonly used in salads and stir-fry. Available from American Takii.

Green Boy

NIZ 44-4707 MTO
NIZ 44-4707 MTO matures in 48 days. It is an exceptional curly, green-leaf lettuce that has great holding ability in the field. Its semi- compact plant produces shiny, dark-green pointed leaves. Bel Fiore
Bel Fiore is a spotted radicchio for year-round harvest. It has consistently produced beautiful deep red/pink spots during warm weather trials. Bel Fiore, or “beautiful flower,” refers to how the round to oval heads are sometimes displayed in Italy, with their centers opened to resemble a flower. The 3.5 to 4.5-inch heads have a mildly bitter, radicchio flavor. Available from Johhny's Selected Seeds.

Muir
An extremely heat-tolerant variety, Muir’s light-green, extra-wavy leaves form dense heads and can be harvested as a mini or left to bulk up into full-size heads.
