This outstanding variety is ideal for both the fresh and bagging markets. Upright plants produce very good yields of high quality, glossy pods. Bowie is 5½ inches long and has high resistance to BCMV, BCTV, halo blight, and bacterial brown spot. It has intermediate resistance to common blight. Colter is 5½ inches long and is for fresh market production. It has high resistance to BCMV, BCTV, and Ua. Dominator is 5½ to 6 inches long and its sieve size is 4-plus. For the fresh market, this variety matures in 53 days and has high yield potential. Regions best suited for production include California and areas outside of the U.S. Dominator is an early variety, is suitable for temperate or subtropical areas, and is for hand-pick or machine harvest. Orient Wonder is 15 to 18 inches long. Maturing in 85 days, it is best suited for production in warm and humid areas where plants are vigorously vining. It sets better in cool, dry conditions.
