Comprehensive Crop Care the Focus of 2020 Ag Innovations Conference

The University of California Cooperative Extension is prepping for the next edition of its popular Ag Innovations Conference series. The 2020 Ag Innovations Conference, which has a theme of “Comprehensive Crop Care” is scheduled for March 18 at the Veterans’ Memorial Center in Santa Maria.

The day-long learning opportunity will feature a full slate of educational sessions, networking opportunities, and an exhibition area of industry suppliers.

According to event organizer, Surendra Dara, strawberry and vegetable crops advisor and affiliated IPM advisor, says the purpose of the Ag Innovations Conference series is to introduce new technologies to the grower community by speakers from universities, research organizations, the grower community, and the agriculture input industry.

After the first event in Santa Maria (2014) with a general theme, the next two were in San Diego (2017) about microbial control, and Santa Maria (2019) about biologicals. The current theme of Comprehensive Crop Care covers multiple topics from identifying a pest to forecasting crop health with the underlying principle of IPM.
