The 2015 NAFDMA (North American Farmers’ Direct Marketing Association) conference kicked off on Monday with farm tours in the Nashville and Knoxville, TN, area.
Stops included Green Door Gourmet in Nashville, TN; Honeysuckle Hill Farm in Springfield, TN; and Oakes Farm in Corryton, TN.
Green Door Gourmet is a farm-to-fork operation that focuses on artisan foods, weddings, corporate events, and CSA memberships. Green Door Gourmet was the location for the 8th Annual Behind the Music event featuring Rascal Flatts and Boyz II Men, among other corporate events.
Honeysuckle Hill Farm offers diverse agritainment options including zip line canopy tours, a cornfield maze, and haunted attractions including zombie paintball.
Oakes Farm is known for its Trail of Doom, Knoxville’s largest and longest-running haunted attraction, an annual Daylily Festival, and a mail-order daylily company.
