How to Plug Into Virtual Vegetable Seed Trials
Virtual vegetable seed trials were a bright spot within 2020. Although vegetable seed companies had to cancel live visits, the trials still took place. And companies brought their cameras. As a result, any grower who has been unable to attend trials in the past but couldn’t get away from their farm can get a front seat view to trials.
Here are four virtual trials you can view without leaving your operation:
Bejo Seeds
Crops: Carrots, beets, cucumbers, zucchini, peppers, tomatoes, cabbage, kale, sprouting broccoli, onions, leeks, shallots, kohlrabi, parsley, cilantro, and organic crops.
Bejo’s New York trials are contained all in one hour-long video, but it provides a time stamp of where you can find each crop.
A series of crop experts walk you through trial results, with a few recipes thrown in to help farm marketers connect with their customers.
