Loan Forgiveness Program For Young Growers

The New York State Young Farmers Loan Forgiveness Incentive Program is now accepting applications. This program is designed to encourage recent college graduates to pursue careers in farming in New York.

The program provides loan forgiveness awards to individuals who obtain an undergraduate degree from an approved New York college or university and agree to operate a farm in New York for five years on a full-time basis.

Young growers interested should complete and submit the New York State Young Farmers Loan Forgiveness Incentive Program Web Application. The deadline for filing an application for the New York State Young Farmers Loan Forgiveness Incentive Program is Dec. 15.
