New COO To Take The Reins At Seedway
John Bozeman, who was named Seedway chief operating officer (COO) in January, will assume full responsibility for the job Sept. 1, 2015. Bozeman has been working with the current COO, Don Wertman.
Wertman will retire at the end of this month after 40 years with the company. He has served as the company’s COO for 28 years.
Bozeman is currently co-business manager for Seedway’s commercial vegetable seed business. He studied crop science at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and the University of Georgia and has an extensive background in agronomy management, vegetable production, consulting and seed sales.
Headquartered in Hall, NY, Seedway LLC operates nine locations in five states from Vermont to Florida. The company is a full-line seed company, marketing farm and turf seed in 14 Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states and vegetable seed from the Rocky Mountains to the East Coast and the southern provinces of Canada.
