Nominations Open For The Fertilizer Institute’s 2016 4R Advocate Awards Program

The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) kicked off the 2016 4R Advocate Awards Program with a call for entries from retailers wishing to highlight exceptional nutrient stewardship practices of their farmer customers.

Celebrating its fifth anniversary, the 4R Advocate Award program recognizes farmers who protect and improve the environment, boost profitability and benefit surrounding communities through nutrient stewardship practices known as the 4Rs: using the right nutrient source, at the right rate, at the right time and in the right place.

As program rules dictate, retail dealers nominate their customers for the awards. The dealers are also recognized with 4R awards for their supporting roles.

Nomination forms and details for the 2016 4R Advocate Awards are now available on the Nutrient Stewardship site.

Entries must be submitted online and are due Nov. 6. Winners will be announced in December.
