Seeds By Design, Grimes Horticulture Partner For Vegetable Venture
September 9, 2015 California-based wholesale seed company Seeds By Design Inc. is pooling resources with Northeast Ohio’s Grimes Horticulture to vet out future vegetable business prospects.
According to Patty Buskirk, president of Seeds By Design (SBD), the new alliance is an important step for both companies to expand. “SBD has superior vegetable genetics for home gardeners and market growers. So let’s help them out.”
Gary Grimes of Grimes Horticulture says his company’s close relationship over the years with Seeds By Design makes this move a natural fit. “We will increase our marketing and promotion to get expanded use of the great product performance of SBD varieties.”
Rod LeDrew, president of Grimes, is excited about future prospects for both parties. “Together, we will work on production forecasting and share ideas about what customers hope for in new breeding directions.”
