For example, Rupp’s WeeeeeOne is a new miniature pumpkin with shallow ribs and a full, round shape similar to traditional jack-o-lantern pumpkins. This tiny pumpkin is powdery mildew resistant and provides very high yields. It can be carved and brings a new look to fall decoration.
Offering consumers great taste and eating quality, Rupp offers Obsession II, one of three sweet corns in the Performance Series from Seminis. This sweet corn provides dual modes of action for above- and below ground insects and tolerance to Roundup herbicide.
Also boasting exceptional eating quality is Majus. This melon produces 6- to 8-pound fruit with beautiful firm flesh and excellent holding ability. Majus has tremendous plant health to boost yields.
In the pepper department, conical peppers Belcanto, Xanthi, and Oranos, (red, yellow, and orange sweet peppers) can be sliced in rings for salad, scooped for stuffing, or diced for salsa, giving your customers new options in food preparation. These peppers are said to be much sweeter than any bell.
